Proponents of Blind Tasting

Where you can't see the label or the price tag-are great believers in human weakness. According to them, a mere glimpse of a label, like that of an ankle in another era, is an irresistable temptation that renders tasters involuntarily bereft of judgement, willpower, and resolution. Seeing the label can allow you to evaluate a wine for what you know it's supposed to be, rather than for what you're guessing it might be.
